Roberto de Jesus Escobar Gaviria, the biological brother of the famous Colombian leader of the Medellín Cartel, Pablo Escobar, has launched his own cryptocurrency: DietBitcoin (DDX).
Roberto Escobar was the accountant of the Medellín Cartel. He also managed the organization’s ‘sicarios'(note: hitmen, hired killers). After more than 10 years in prison, he was released and now wants to leverage his experience working for the Medellín Cartel to get in on some crypto action. He claims to have made over $100 billion dollars in profit throughout his career and says he created DietBitcoin because he wanted to give back to the people.
As opposed to his previous business venture, the infamous Medellín Cartel, DietBitcoin is allegedly completely decentralized. Roberto Escobar claims the coin is a bitcoin fork, that is “a faster, lighter alternative to bitcoin”.
According to a new chapter added to his book “The True Story of Roberto Escobar”, he got the idea for DietBitcoin one day, while he was at one of Pablo Escobar’s houses near Medellín, Colombia.
“I was thinking to myself, what has happened to the world? What has happened to the world? The next morning, I read about something that they call cryptocurrency. Supposedly, children are creating currencies online everywhere from nothing. They are printing the money. The children are printing the money from nothing,” Escobar explained his revelation.
He called his office in Los Angeles and asked his assistant to have the team investigate cryptocurrencies.
“Cryptocurrencies are big money, and it is happening not only in Los Angeles, but all over the world,” his aids, El Silencio (note: The Silence) and El Conejo (note: The Rabbit, the word ‘conejo’ can also be used as slang for the lower part of the female reproductive tract), told him.
He then talked to one of Nicolás Maduro’s close friends and found out that he was planning to launch a Venezuelan cryptocurrency. That’s when Roberto Escobar decided to “do one too”.
According to Roberto Escobar, one of his aids, El Conejo, met with the real Satoshi Nakamoto in Lima, Peru. Satoshi Nakamoto supposedly got in touch because he wanted to create a new cryptocurrency with the family of Pablo Emillio Escobar Gaviria.
“I approved the deal,” Roberto Escobar said, adding that he wanted to “give cryptocurrency a chance to become part of the Escobar legacy”.
However, Roberto Escobar became suspicious when the man claiming to be Satoshi Nakamoto insisted on meeting him in New York. He wasn’t willing to run the risk of travelling to the U.S. for a man who was only worth $10 billion dollars at the time.
“$10 Billion is nothing,” Roberto Escobar said.
He asked Satoshi Nakamoto for a copy of his passport and he “knew right away that something was wrong”, because his computer “stopped working the same day”.
He later found out that the man claiming to be Satoshi Nakamoto was in fact working for the American Government operating under a cover identity. Now, Roberto Escobar has reached what he believes to be a logical conclusion: the American Government created bitcoin in order to “track every single signal from one computer to another”, and the man claiming to be Satoshi Nakamoto will be the one who “pushes the button for the American Government to sell $10 billion dollars’ worth of bitcoin” in order to crash the coin when they are done gathering data with it.
“I am the first person in the world, Roberto De Jesus Escobar Gaviria, to publicly come out and claim that Bitcoin was created by the American Government, and I am not going to be the last person to say this. The world is going to wake up. The world is going to see that this was created by them. And when they see it, it is too late, and when the CIA finds out that the world knows about this, the CIA is going to sell all of their coins, and they will destroy the value of Bitcoin. That is also one of the reasons that I am creating my own coin,” Escobar said.
Roberto Escobar claims he created DietBitcoin because he wanted to give back to the people. According to Escobar, DietBitcoin “has years and years of development behind it” and what makes it truly special is the fact that it is an extension of his personality.
“It is an extension of me as a being from when I was a little boy until today,” the DietBitcoin creator said.
According to Roberto Escobar, the founder of McAfee Antivirus, John McAfee, was willing to become a DietBitcoin strategic partner, but Escobar wouldn’t have it.
“I didn’t like the guy; small guy. (…) I never heard of his name. It’s a worthless name,” Escobar said.
Pablo Escobar’s brother claims that all crypto coins and tokens are in fact pump and dump scams. He admits that ethereum has “nice technology”, but says it is still a scam, because it was created by a “small child” who is a neighbor of some of his friends.
If Vitalik Buterin were to walk up to him, he would tell him: “Sir, you are a gringo [note: a person, especially an American, who is not Hispanic or Latino]. You think I care about the gringo coin? I don’t care.”
“Keep the Ethereum, Keep the TRON, keep the Ripple, keep the Bitcoin. You will see what happens. They will all go to zero, almost zero. But not my coin. (…) All of these pump and dump scams. These people want to get rich quickly, but I am already rich. I have more life experiences than all of them together. I made more money than all of them together. I am richer than all of them. I lived ten lives compared to them. One year for me is 100 years for the founder of Ripple,” Escobar added.
DietBitcoin is currently for sale at $2 per coin. A total of 1,000,000 DDX coins will be sold through three ICOs.
